  1. Open Exchange Management Console.
  2. Expand your Exchange Server tree and select Toolbox.
  3. Select Tracking Log Explorer from the Mail flow tools group.
  4. Determine the MessageID of the email you wish to track:
    1. Tick the checkbox next to Recipients and enter the email address of the user who actually received the email.
    2. Tick the checkbox next to Event ID and select TRANSFER.
    3. From the Start and End fields, select the time period during which you wish to search for the email.
    4. Click Next.
    5. From the table, copy the MessageID of the email in question.
    6. Click Go Back.
  5. Determine who the email is being redirected from:
    1. Untick the Recipient checkbox.
    2. Tick the checkbox next to MessageID and paste in the copied value.
    3. Change the Event ID field to REDIRECT.
    4. Click Next.
    5. In the table of redirections, scroll to the right and look under the RelatedRecipients column for the row matching the user who actually received the email, then scroll back to the left and look under the Recipients column to determine which user the email was redirected from.
